About Our Therapists:
In addition to being a yoga teacher and the owner of Highland, Stephen has been a massage therapist and massage instructor since 2002. He specializes in myofascial release, deep tissue work, and swedish massage. He originally began his studies in massage therapy because of pain in his wrists and low back from working in a cubicle for many years. He could immediately see that the work was profound and had the potential to change lives. He dedicated the next 10 years to honing his craft to help others discover the source of their pain and improve their functionality. Over the course of his career, he’s had the opportunity to study many facets of bodywork and this eclectic education enables him to work with the body on many levels. Whether you’re looking to stand up straighter, improve range of motion, release tension, or simply relax, he can help.
Christy has been a licensed massage therapist since 2001. She began studying and practicing massage in Maui, HI where by default, she began to work with athletes to help keep them on their surf/wind/kite boards. Over the years, she has been blessed to work with athletes of diverse backgrounds which has directed her practice toward deep tissue and sports specific massage and treatments. She has combined her experience in massage therapy, Thai Yoga massage, and yoga to create Mobility Treatments®. These customized sessions support clients in healing from and preventing injuries by supporting an optimal range of motion and balance of strength and flexibility for their sport. Since 2011, she has been honored to be one of the massage therapists for the NY Jets.
Sharon started her career as a massage therapist in 2012. After spending many years managing a family business and raising two children she decided it was time for something new. She obtained her certificate as a yoga instructor and became aware of the amazing functions of the body and how much stress and tension the body holds. Her interests in the human body led her to enrolling at the Institute for Therapeutic Massage in Haskell, NJ to become a massage therapist. Sharon keeps up to date with continuing education classes given by many bodyworkers in their areas of expertise including Swedish, medical, therapeutic, and orthopedic massage, reiki, reflexology, aromatherapy, chair massage, and spa treatments.
*Please note: This offer is good only for sessions scheduled within the months of July and August. All sessions are dependent on the availability of therapists.
