Kundalini Yoga, brought to the West in 1969 by Yogi Bhajan, is known as the Yoga of Awareness.  Kundalini yoga uses physical postures (Asana), breathwork (Pranayama), Chanting (Mantra), Body Locks (Bhandas), Hand Gestures (Mudras) and Meditation throughout the practice.  Kundalini Yoga is done in sets or kriyas that are designed to work towards a specific outcome.

This month we will be doing a kriya for the Lungs and Magnetic Field and Deep meditation.  The postures in this set work directly on the lung meridians.  When our lungs are healthy we can breathe in more energy and life into the body.  The set also works on our magnetic field which can strengthen our projection and also keep disease from entering the body.  Finally this is a great set to help get us into a deeper meditative state.
